MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Let’s Keep the Momentum Going!!

We put the momentum to work.
Our Food From The Bar campaign raised over $3,000 for the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank, raised through Donation Bingo, generous member and Business Partner giving, and a closing Munger Games trivia showdown. Across the legal community, we collected over $500,000, which will provide over one million meals to Bay Area families in need.
In May, we collaborated with the Oregon, Middle Tennessee, and NYC chapters to raise more than $3,300 for the National Alliance on Mental Illness, and we finished with a much-needed walk along the Bay with our ALA colleagues and Business Partners (BPs).
We kept learning.
We collaborated with the Puget Sound chapter to bring Jennifer Martinez from Hanson Bridgett in to discuss DEI compliance for law firms in today’s environment.
Our AI Implementation Series with Spencer Smith was a great success, with over 450 registrants across the country learning how to leverage AI in their various functions across law firm operations, such as HR, IT, Finance, and Marketing.
We also had some great sessions led by our Finance and Leadership & Management Sections that taught us more about law firm financial statements and how to build better relationships at work through EQ.
We made time for each other.
More than 70 BPs and members filled up our BP Appreciation Luncheon in June, some traveling as far from Boston, Minnesota, and up and down the West Coast to be there.
Later in August, we had over 40 attendees at our annual Game Night, where our very own Steve Morris hosted fun games including Jeopardy and Pictionary. We have so many more opportunities to get together, so keep reading!
And we invested in the chapter itself.
In July, chapter leaders traveled to Tempe for ALA’s Chapter Leadership Institute, where we spent 3 days alongside leaders from 80-plus chapters, the ALA Board of Directors, and the Chapter Connections Committee. We came back energized and with a lot of great ideas that we’ll see in the back half of the year.
Momentum only holds if we keep feeding it.
Pick one (or a few) and register today!
Let’s keep climbing higher.
