The Operations & Technology Section is presenting Social media (1). What is it and how does it work?  This is the first of a 2-part series on social media where we will explore from a bird’s eye view the history and functionality of three social media platforms: Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.  This is a very current topic that affects us all and is at the center of the way we  communicate, not just socially but in the business and political world as well. The plan for the second part of this series is to review the history and functionality of LinkedIn and learn how one can use it to leverage one's personal brand.

The speaker is our own Hannah Lincecum, the incoming Director-at-Large for the 2019-2020 board year.  Hannah serves as the Northern California HR Manager for Kirkland & Ellis and in the 2018-2019 board year is a co-chair of the Golden Gate Chapter’s Membership Committee.  Striving to keep the legal industry appealing to and thriving in the millennial generation, Hannah draws upon her experience and expertise to facilitate conversations around today’s hot topics.

Immediately following the session we will move to the building lobby where the Business Partner Expo will commence.  Be sure to sign up for the Expo in a separate post.  (The original posting was split into separate ones.) There will be a drawing for a passport to the 2020 National Conference and many other drawings for items contributed by the exibiting Business Partners.

This event is sponsored by First Legal, HGA, Datasafe, and Konica.
